Halliburton Energy Services, Inc., a business unit of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL), announced today that it has made a significant strategic investment in Prime Photonics, LC, a leader in developing photonic sensors for harsh environments. As part of Halliburton Energy Services' overall fiber optics initiative, Prime Photonics' sensors will offer substantial advantages over most currently utilized electronic and mechanical devices, allowing reduced production costs, optimized recovery and increased profitability in oil and gas production.
