Wireless Sensors

Wireless sensor development at Prime is focused in 2 high impact areas: high temperature energy harvesting wireless sensors and ultra-high temperature passive wireless sensors.  Prime and its collaborators at Virginia Tech and other universities are at the forefront of low-power, high temperature radio development, currently working on radios for 500F environments with a roadmap that will take future Prime wireless sensor developments into even hotter application environments.  Prime’s patent pending Phoenix™ passive wireless sensor technology is being developed under a multi-year DOE grant, and will further push the envelope of wireless sensor technology by introducing wireless sensors into coal combustors, gasifiers and other ultra-high temperature power generation and industrial environments.  Below are some of the important areas of Prime wireless sensor technology development.
